Advanced technology for pavements, trails, road base, subgrade, earthworks; erosion, sediment, dust control; earth retention, channel and slope protection
Patented Perforated System creates better lateral drainage, increased frictional interlock with aggregates and concrete, and increased root lock-up with vegetated systems.
History of the GEOWEB® Cellular Confinement System
Soil Stabilization Products Company, Inc. (SSPCo) has played a leading role in the implementation and advancement of Cellular Confinement System technology. SSPCo has had the privilege of a long association with Presto Products Company, the world leader in development and manufacture of Cellular Confinement System and Porous Pavement System product technologies. Presto worked with the Army Corps of Engineers, starting in the late 1970's, in a cooperative effort to develop Cellular Confinement System technology. While Presto's GEOWEB Cellular Confinement System has been widely used for military applications and played a key role in stabilizing the US Army's troop supply routes during the Desert Storm campaign, today the products are used on a worldwide basis for earth retention, slope protection, channel protection and many additional types of uses beyond the road, runway, load support and military applications originally envisioned during the early R&D phase with the Army Corps of Engineers. SSPCo has had significant involvement throughout this expansion of the range of application of cellular confinement and continues to be at the leading edge of application and innovation with cellular confinement technology.
